Dimitris Agravanis, in his statements to ERT after defeating Ukraine, argued that Greece were sluggish in the first half but didn’t give up in the second half and were able to turn the game around.
First he said:
“In the first half, Ukraine were strong in defense and attack, while we were quite sluggish. In the second half, not only did we not give in, but we put twice as much energy and made it look like it.”
And he continued:
“And the image of the first half was important, the good thing is that all the boys were there in the second half. We covered our basket. Giannis did a fantastic job in attack and we won.”
As for what was said in the dressing room:
“What he told us and what we said to each other is that things are not going well but let’s not panic and we’re going into the second half to get the win.”
While he ended his remarks by saying:
“We have one game left for our group, we have to stay focused. Koatas will also play well and think about all the moments of the group.”
