The Ukrainian team will face Estonia at EuroBasket 2022 on Saturday, September 3rd. The match will be held at the local arena in Milan (Italy) and kicks off at 18:00 Kyiv time.
The Blue-Yellows started the European Championship with a confident victory as they faced Great Britain (90:61). Mykhailyuk was the most prolific player on our team, scoring 17 points. Our second overseas legionnaire, Len – contributed 13 points and 6 rebounds to the win.
The Estonian national team has participated in the European Championship five times, and since 2000 this has only happened twice. In EuroBasket 2015, the national teams of Ukraine and Estonia were in the same group. In the facing match, the Blue-Yellows were defeated by the Estonians with a score of 71:78. In that tournament, our team and Estonia could not reach the 1/8 finals.
