Hands down for Ukraine at EuroBasket. How to stay 2nd in a group?

Having lost to Greece (79:99) in the fourth round, the Ukraine team lost its chance to win the EuroBasket 2022 Group C.

However, Ainars Bagatskis’ team secured a spot in the tournament’s 1/8 finals ahead of schedule, and now the only question is where to get there.

Currently, the Ukrainians are in the second row of the six, which will allow them to start the playoffs with a team that finished third in group D.

To stay 2nd, Ukraine must beat Croatia in the final round. However, even in the event of defeat, the wards of Bagatskis will have a chance to stay second.

Everything will depend on the point difference (in case of defeat) and the possible victory of Italy over Great Britain.

– Less than 8 points difference + Italy’s victory over Great Britain – Ukraine 2.

– 8-16 points – Ukraine will play 3rd and 1/8th against 2nd in Group D.

– 17+ points – Ukraine will play against 4th and 1st place in Group D.
