Counted – miscalculated. Croatia completes EuroBasket

The Croatian team, who could not break the resistance of the Finnish team in the fight for the quarter-final ticket of the European Championship, was defeated with a score of 86:94. The key match was the final 10 minutes of regular time, where the Finnish national team took a six-point advantage.

Recall that in the 1/8 final, the Croatian team came out of the third place in the group where the Ukrainian team also played. In the last match of the group stage, the Balkans could have beaten the “blue-yellows” with a greater advantage than they actually had (90:85), but they did not. As a result, the Ukrainian team took the second place, the Croats took the third place, and in the playoffs they counted on less formidable opponents. Turns out they miscalculated.
