The next season of the Superleague will be held without the playoffs
The FBU Executive Committee approved the system of organizing competitions in the championships of Ukraine in the 22/23 season.
In the Men’s Super League, the teams will play four rounds. Winners and prize winners will be determined at the end of the regular season. The season will continue without the playoffs.
Basketball matches in the 2022/23 season will be played in a “balloon” and without spectators.
The FBU Executive Committee leaves the department of organizing and running competitions with the opportunity to change the format of the championship and bring back the playoffs. Such a scenario is possible in the context of agreeing with the Superleague clubs and improving the military situation in Ukraine.
Earlier, Prometheus, Budivelnik, Kyiv-Basket, Zaporozhye, Cherkasy Mavpy, Stary Lutsk, Kryvbas and Nikolaev have confirmed their participation in the next Superleague season.
It was previously reported that the regular season should be held in three rounds.
