The current injury will not prevent Luka Doncic from appearing in the quarter-finals of the European Championship, where he will play against the Polish team today, Wednesday 14 September.

Doncic took part in the team’s pre-match training, which was held the day before the match with the Poles and lasted for an hour and a half. Luka experienced pain in his right ankle – he periodically applied ice to the injury site, and then returned to training. It was reported that the player’s participation in the upcoming match was beyond doubt.

Luka Doncic, 23, suffered an ankle injury at the end of Slovenia’s practice session on Sunday (September 11th). Alexander Sekulich, head coach of the Slovenian national team, admitted in a conversation with the media that he does not need to worry about Doncic as everything seems more or less well. But for Zoran Dragic, the tournament is already over – he was out of the field for six to eight weeks and hurt his thigh muscle.

The quarter-finals match Slovenia – Poland will start today, 14 September at 21:30 Kyiv time. The winner will meet the strongest of the France – Italy match in the semi-finals.

Goran Dragic, captain of the Slovenian national team, previously spoke about the future of Luka Doncic.
