Mykhailyuk named best interceptor of EuroBasket
Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk, the leader of the Ukraine national team, who played 6 games in EuroBasket 2022, shared the first place in the steals tournament. On average, the Ukrainian player made 2.2 interceptions per game. Montenegrin international Kendrick Perry also made the same number of interceptions, but spent more time on the court on average.
Vyacheslav Bobrov placed in the top 5 in terms of shooting percentage in the tournament with 53.8 three-pointers. Alexey Len holds the 7th individual tournament record with 1.2 blocks per game.
As for team statistics, Ukraine is in the top 5 in two indicators. Ukraine is fifth with 37.5 rebounds per game and fourth with 3.7 blocks per game.
Recall that the Ainars Bagatskis team lost to Poland in the 1/8 final of the EuroBasket. Spain won the tournament, beating France in the final.
