Spain confidently beat France and win EuroBasket 2022
In the final match of the 2022 European Championship, the national teams of Spain and France faced each other.
At the beginning of the match, the Spaniards immediately began to increase the difference in score. In the middle of the first quarter, the coach of the French national team took a time-out, but this did not improve. The teams left the first time-out by +9 in favor of the Spaniards.
And in the second quarter, the Spaniards began to regularly fire long-range shots, and this was a real disaster for the French. In particular, he was distinguished by hits from the vicinity of Juancho Hernangomes, who shot into the opponent’s basket. When the gap increased to 21 points, it became quite alarming for the intrigue of the meeting. Perhaps the Spaniards believed too much in victory. Regardless, they managed to lose their nominal home advantage within two minutes – “+10” for Spain after halfway through the match.
In the third quarter, the French managed to narrow the lead to three points, but could not score more. The Spaniards again increased their advantage, and until the end of the meeting there were almost no questions about the winner of the final.
Thus, the Spanish national team became the winner of the EuroBasket for the fourth time in its history. And Willy Hernangomes was the MVP of the final tournament.
