LeBron saved the Lakers, overtime win over the Knicks
It was a crazy game in LA, with the Lakers clawing back a 21-point lead over the Knicks but eventually needing overtime to earn a 122-115 win, with LeBron James hitting a triple-double.
An incredible game took place in LA. A game the Lakers seemed poised to lose. Then it seemed impossible not to win until they averted their eyes. However, they ended up winning in overtime, 122-115.
The Lakers started the game…miserably. They were -21 (47-68) in the second period and finished the game by gaining the upper hand. And 77 seconds before the final they had a difference of 7 points (103-110). And finally… it got dark. The Knicks went 1-8 and tied at 111-111 with a three-pointer from (incredible) Ar Jay Barrett that sent the game into overtime! There, however, they ran out of wonders as the Lakers clinched the win.
LeBron James led the Lakers on his return to the court from injury with 29 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, with Malik Monk adding 29 points and Anthony Davis adding 28 points and 17 rebounds. Russell Westbrook stayed on 5 points with 1/10 shots, lost two crucial shots in the final of regulation time and remained on the bench in overtime.
For the Knicks, Barrett had 36 points and Julius Randle had 32 points and 16 rebounds.
