And the team got its current name in 1992 thanks to Sweden’s largest zoo and the first dolphinarium in the country, located near the city. During its 59 years of existence, Budivelnik’s rival has won seven league titles, including the final seasons 2020/21 and 2021/22.

The Dolphins won last year’s gold medals by beating Jamtland Basket 4:2 in a very difficult and interesting final series. After that, the main characters of that team continued to be promoted to further status titles. Among the remaining key players from last season are Sweden center Adam Ramsted and local shooting guard Nathan Dawit.
