The situation in the Hornets escaped, an incident between Borego and Bucknight
Bad image on the Hornets bench during the game with the Heat after rookie James Bucknight misunderstood something his coach James Borego was telling him and an incident ensued before the young guard went into the dressing room.
The Hornets’ loss was a hit (86-104), but the team’s image in particular caused severe irritation among everyone. The result was that the situation eventually resolved and James Borego had a small episode with the team’s rookie, James Bucknight.
The game was in its fourth season when Borego said something to Bucknight. However, this bothered the young guard, who stood up and sent him to his trainer, who had his back turned. Luckily for everyone, nearby LaMello Bowl and Miles Bridges pulled off their teammate, after which an assistant coach immediately rushed over and took him to the locker room, where he stayed until the end of the game.
Buknite seemed annoyed by the fact that in a game where the difference eluded early, he only used Borego in the last 14 seconds of the third period before pulling it back again. As a result, he became even more irritated by what his coach was telling him and reacted that way.
“Obviously we were all confused by the end of the third period and the beginning of the fourth period. I’ll leave it there though” Borego settled for it after the game when asked.
