Simtsak for the picture of Panathinaikos in Larissa: “No excuses, let’s bow our heads”
Vassilis Simtsak, a cynic, didn’t want to hear about tiredness after the Larissa game and explained that Panathinaikos needed to lower their heads to work even harder.
The breakout of Dimitris Priftis at the end of the first period in Panathinaikos’ away game against Larissa for the postponed Stoiximan Basket League match was no coincidence. The Greek coach did not comment after the game, his colleague Vassilis Simtsak spoke in the same tone to ERT’s camera and said that the Greens still have a lot of work to do to reach the desired level.
Details of what Vassilis Simtsak said:
“Our image in the first part was unacceptable. Zero energy and fighting spirit, mistakes in attack was an insult to the team we play for. In the second part we were more concentrated. We put energy into the defense and achieved victory with important shots. There’s no excuse for tiredness, there’s no excuse. We must bow our heads and work, for the true picture is coming down. It was a good lesson for us, it was an electric shock and I hope it will do us good“.
