Olympiacos’ touching message for the victims of Gate 7
The Olympiacos basketball team did not forget the victims of Gate 7 and commemorates their unjust loss with a touching tweet on the 41st anniversary.
Today (8/2) is a day of mourning for Olympiacos and Greek sport. It is the day that will always be remembered that on February 8, 1981, 21 people in “Karaiskakis” were unjustly lost after the Olympiacos – AEK 6-0 match, shocking the country.
The brother of the undefeated Giannis Kanellopoulos explained in a shocking interview with Nikos Syriodis on Sportish that he actually lost his mother that day. Faced with the severe climate, the Olympiacos basketball team could not forget this day and honored the victims with a simple tweet that said it all…”Never forget “ wrote the “Red-Whites” in their official account and reminded them that this day will always hurt the club family.
