Marcus Morris nearly injures Morand with an unsportsmanlike foul
Marcus Morris committed a harsh and dangerous foul on Ja Morand in the Clippers’ game against the Grizzlies that sent him off in the third period.
Marcus Morris has remained true to the reputation of the “tough” and “dirty” player who succeeds him. His last “victim” was Ja Morand, who miraculously escaped a serious injury in the Grizzlies’ game against the Clippers (Memphis win 135-109).
The game was in its third season – the Grizzlies led 90-68 – when Morand made one of his famous raids and was about to pin it, most likely posting Morris. However, the Clippers forward tried to stop it, resulting in a very hard – and dangerous – foul on the Grizzlies star that sent him down and left the team’s pals breathless.
Luckily for everyone, Morand got off the ground after a while as if nothing was happening while there was – strangely enough – no tension as no Memphis player asked Morris to speak, which seemed immediately apologetic. However, the referees didn’t accept his remorse and sent him off, charging him with blatant 2 fouls.

Jokic may lose his chance to compete for NBA MVP award
Denver Nuggets announced Nikola Jokic He will miss at least four weeks due to left knee hyperextension.
The Serb is expected to miss all 18 matches in January and his maximum appearances this season could be limited to 64 matches. So Jokic will lose the opportunity to compete for the NBA’s main prizes – MVP and inclusion in the All-NBA, as this requires playing at least 65 games in the regular season.
Theoretically, he could return for the January 31 game against the Brooklyn Nets, which would give Nikola the opportunity to play 65 games before the end of the season, but that scenario is unlikely.
Jokic was injured in the last seconds of the first half of the match against Miami Heat (123:147) and did not return to the field after a long break. Before his injury, he managed to score 21 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds in just 19 minutes.
Jokic averaged 29.9 points, 12.4 rebounds and 11.1 assists per game this season.
