AEK announced that George Bogris has now officially left the team after his contract ended, with the experienced center he will continue his career at Apollon Patras as he is already in town.

George Bogris is no longer part of the AEK staff. The “Union” announced the termination of the contract of the experienced center, which had been out of the squad for months, as it did not fit into Stefanos Dedas’ plans.

Bogris was acquired by AEK in the summer with prospects of being the team’s backup centre. However, it soon became clear that he would not play a major role and so the decision was made not to participate in the group’s commitments. In an interview with Vassilis Skountis on the show “Pick n Roll”, he even stated that he was on paid leave.

However, the veteran center won’t be left without a team as he has already pledged to continue his career at Apollon Patras. In fact, it is already in Patras.

The announcement in detail:

“AEK BC announces the termination of its collaboration with George Bogris.

AEK BC wishes the athlete every success in the next phase of his career.”
