In the Maccabi Hall of Fame, Pini Gerson and Svi Surf
Maccabi has announced that it will honor Pini Gerson and Svi Surf in a special way as they are inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame.
Pini Gerson and Svi Surf, two coaches who have shaped Maccabi’s history, are being honored in the most emphatic manner by the club: they are being inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame.
The news was announced by the club on its official site, adding that the two great coaches – who have also passed the Greek championship in the past – are honored ahead of today’s (10/2) game against CSKA (21:05, Novasports). will be 4 and LIVE from Sportish).
For the record, the Surf sat on Maccabi’s bench for 11 seasons, winning 16 titles (10 leagues and 6 cups) while guiding the team to 3 European finals. On his passes from Greece he sat on the benches of Aris (1992/1993), PAOK (1997-1999) and Makedonikos (2002)
For his part, Gerson sat on Maccabi’s bench for 8 seasons and won 17 titles (7 leagues, 7 cups and 3 EuroLeague). In Greece we got to know him better when he was on the bench at Olympiacos (2006-2008).
