Alexander Volkov to apply for the post of Head of the FBU
Honorary President of the Ukrainian Basketball Federation Alexander Volkov He will apply for the post of Chairman of the FBU. Elections will be held on November 18.
Volkov is a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the Party of Regions. He was a member of the Agricultural Policy and Land Relations Committee.
On June 5, 2012, from Volkov’s card, a vote was taken on the draft of the Ukrainian Law “On the Foundations of State Language Policy”, which strengthened the status of the Russian language. At the same time, Volkov himself was not present in the sitting room that day.
After the start of a large-scale military invasion of the Rashists, Volkov took part in the defense of Kiev.
During his football career, as part of the USSR national team, he won the gold medal of the 1988 Olympics, and in 1985 became the European champion.
