The screams of the Spanish announcer and the silence of the Turkish announcer in Slouka’s buzzer beater with Anadolu Efes
One huge shot, two diametrically opposed reactions from the game’s announcers. See Kostas Sloukas buzzer-beater against Anantolou Efes with a Spanish description where the commentator shouted but also with a Turkish one where the Turkish announcer “froze”.
Costas Sloukas scored a buzzer-beater three-pointer in the final of the extra time match between Olympiakos and Anantolou Efes, giving the “Red-Whites” the victory (87-85) and drowning in the arms of his teammates. And this has – obviously – led to mixed reactions to the fight from commentators across Europe.
As the game ended in shocking fashion, the Spanish commentator describing the game went “crazy” in Sloukas’ basket and started screaming into the microphone at an incredible moment. At the same time, the Turkish commentator was on the other end because when Sloukas scored the three he ‘froze’ and stopped speaking for a few seconds before finding the courage to describe what had just happened.
