Announcements regarding the distribution of tickets for the Basketball Cup Final Four in Crete are expected in the next 24 hours, the EEC said in a statement, which also confirmed the exception to the hygiene measures for the sports facilities.

The Basketball Cup Final Four, scheduled to be held at “Dyo Aorakia” in Heraklion from Friday to Sunday, February 18th to 20th, will be exempted from the sanitation measures for the sports facilities, since the authorization to increase the number of spectators to the Grandstands at 2,000.

This was confirmed on Sunday morning (13/2) by the EWG, who announced that teams will not receive tickets while the movement of fans to Crete is banned.

In addition, the federation announced that if a team has coronavirus cases, its game will not be postponed, while details on ticket sales will be announced in the next 24 hours.

The EEC notification in detail:

The request of the EWG was accepted by the State, accompanied by the submission of the specialist for the specific organization of the health protocol and the strict guarantees and compliance with the same, to hold the Final 4 of the Men’s Cup with a coverage of 40% the capacity of the “Two Aorakia” stadium in Heraklion, ie the presence of 2,000 spectators.

After meeting the police, it was decided that the four teams that will be attending the event will not be given tickets to sell if they try, but these will be available exclusively from the EEC. The movements of fans to Crete are expressly prohibited.
According to Final 4’s submitted protocol above, a team’s game will not be rescheduled regardless of the number of coronavirus cases.
