Turkey is under pressure. It has lost ground in terms of qualifying for the 2023 World Cup, so the games against Belgium (home, 11/11, 20:00) and Serbia (away, 14/11, 21:00) are finals, they are survival games.
Ergin Ataman shortlisted 16 players, including naturalized Scotty Wilbekin rather than naturalized Shane Larkin. Also present are Bugrahan Tuncer, Goguz Özdemiroglu, Ergan Osmani, Furkan Haltali, Kenan Sipahi, Melih Mahmutoglu, Metcean Birsen, Muhsin Yasar, Okben Ulubai, Onuralp Bitim, Sadir Emir Kabaka, Samet Yigitoglu, Sertac Sanli, Semus Hazer, Yigits Saibir.
Turkey are fifth in Group I out of six teams with a 2-4 record. First is Latvia (5-1), second is Greece (4-2), third is Belgium (3-3), fourth is Serbia (3-3) and sixth is Great Britain (1-5).
