Legislative election leaves US without NBA
Thirty NBA franchises played in a 15-game program this Monday (early Tuesday morning in Europe). Tuesday will be a non-competitive day to encourage fans to vote in the US Congressional elections.
The NBA has prepared a special program that includes messages from the players themselves to encourage fans to vote. This Tuesday, in elections that will determine the composition of Congress and the final two years of President Joe Biden’s term.
This is an unusual move for the NBA, which typically has little disruption to its schedule on occasions like Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
Nevertheless, The league has made a commitment this year to highlight the importance of voting in the upcoming elections.
