Ainars BAGATSKIS: “We must play aggressive, hard basketball”

On Friday evening, the Ukraine national basketball team will play another qualifying match for the World Championship. Team Ainars Bagatskis will play against the Netherlands team, which is in the last place in our group.

After the morning training, the mentor of the Ukrainian national team talked about his expectations from the match.

“I would like to say that we had a very good, working, aggressive and positive environment in all four of our training sessions. Good mood, everyone knows why they are here and what they want to achieve.

To put it mildly, there are big changes in the roster and also injuries to Sanon, whom they trust so much, and they wanted to test Kovlyar. But it exists as it is, these are the features of the profession.

We know our duty and we will play quality basketball. I ended the training by saying that it doesn’t matter how the opponent plays, it matters how aggressively we play. “Aggressive basketball is tough, maybe not the smartest, but will bring your chances of winning more than you are smart,” said Ainars Bagatskis.

The duel between the Netherlands and Ukraine will take place on Friday, November 11 in the Netherlands. The match starts at 20:00 Kyiv time. The duel will be shown by the Xsport TV channel.
