Serbia qualifying for World Cup qualifiers with Nedovic and Micic
Serbia has announced the 24 pre-qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup qualifiers, with Panathinaikos’ Nemanja Nedovic and Anadolu Efes’ Vasilie Mitsic and Filip Petrusev standing out.
Serbia would like to have as many of its “weapons” as possible in FIBA’s second “window” for the 2023 World Cup qualifiers: Nemanja Nedovic of Panathinaikos and Vassilie Mitsic of Anadolu Efes.
The two talented guards are just two of the names in the EuroLeague teams shortlisted, as they include Anadolu Efes’ Philip Petrushev and several Red Star players.
Serbia host Slovakia on February 25, while three days later (28/2) they meet the same opponents away.
It should be remembered that Panathinaikos has made it clear that it will field its Greece internationals for the men’s national team matches in World Cup qualifiers, but there is no corresponding obligation for its foreign players.
