Derrick Williams breaks out: ‘Five seconds can’t tell the whole story’
Derrick Williams took to Twitter to attack those who accused him of poking fun at Nanali and Reynolds after being kicked out of Hapoel, saying he had just gone out to eat and was waiting for the bill, with the few seconds that went into the whole VIDEO leaked, story told.
The news that Derrick Williams, Jalen Reynolds and James Nanali spent the night partying just hours after Maccabi’s elimination to Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Cup semifinals and the crowd-booking efforts of fans in the crowd. But that’s exactly what forced Williams to launch a counterattack via Twitter.
The American forward broke out with two of his posts, explaining that he and his teammates have just gone out to eat and the video that is being released shows nothing but the three of them waiting for the bill. “Sometimes you get 5 seconds of a story that took an hour” mentioned features.
In detail, Williams states in his contribution:
“I will try to be short and sweet. Actually thinking that my teammates and I aren’t interested because it’s Valentine’s Day, “something we would never post” is silly. This is done by the fans themselves trying to downsize their players.
An empty restaurant waiting for our bill became a media feast. Sometimes you take five seconds of a story that lasted an hour… Think about what you want and disagree as much as you want. “But my name isn’t involved in nonsense because you want to blame someone for how you feel.”
