Australian “Melbourne” Center Isaac Humphreys formally acknowledged his unconventional orientation:
“I’ve learned a lot about myself lately. I’m going to have to be who I really am, I can’t hide anymore because I’ve done a lot of work inside myself.
All my life, I’ve kept something about myself from everyone I love, and sometimes even from myself. This is the truth that I have been denying for a long time, but now I am ready to admit that I am gay.
The 211-centimeter basketball player played in the NCAA for Kentucky, then played in Australia and Serbia, and soon got a chance in Atlanta, where he played five games, starting once.
Earlier, British football legend Gary Lineker urged gay players to participate in the 2022 World Cup.
