FBU: Brodsky and Volkov became members of the Ukrainian NOC for a period of 4 years
Today, November 17, General Assembly was held. Ukrainian NOCWhere the new chairman of the National Olympic Committee is elected and the new list of members of the NOC of Ukraine for the period 2022-2026 is approved.
New President of Ukraine’s National Olympic Committee elected Vadim Gutzeit. The current Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine received 123 votes (corresponding to 83.67%). His opponent, Zhan Beleniuk, received 22 votes, and Igor Malinsky – 2 votes.
In addition, the NOC of Ukraine approved 168 members of the National Olympic Committee for the period 2022-2026. Among them was the President of the Ukrainian Basketball Federation. Mikhail Brodsky and Honorary President of the FBU Alexander Volkov.
This year, the powers of the NOC President resigned Sergei Bubka. He has held a leadership position since 2005.
