Luca Banki has taken over as coach from Lauri Markkanen in France
Luca Banki moved to France to Strasbourg as the successor to another national coach, the Finn Lassi Tuovi.
In addition to his work as coach of the Latvian national team, which he led to the 2023 World Cup by beating Greece in Heraklion, Luka Banki will also be the coach of Strasbourg from Wednesday, which announced its agreement with him until the end (11/16) of the period.
The 57-year-old former AEK coach took over from Finland national team coach Lassi Tuovi with a goal of helping the Strasbourgers turn a 7-1 run in the French league that has left them bottom of the table.
