Hawks’ great Summer Beater in the last breath against the Raptors
The Hawks defeated the Raptors 124-122 in overtime. But it’s the winning summer beater they scored that looks like a real work of art.
The Hawks worked overtime to beat the Raptors 124-122. The point, however, is how they did it, with their winning basket, a true work of art.
With Oji Anunoby tying the game at 122-122 by 3.8 seconds, Dejude Marie grabbed the rebound. He then saw Trae Young and passed the ball to him with Clint Capela standing between him and Scotty Barnes to free it and the Hawks star galloped into the open court where he saw Anunoby approaching him , the ball up to AJ, Griffin lifted, who hit a rare buzzer-beater.
In fact, in order to get that basket, the Raptors also had to make a number of mistakes on defense. But that doesn’t change the fact that the Hawks thought along quickly and – without a time-out – made a great move.
