Shock for the Sixers, Tyrese Maxey is out for 3-4 weeks
Tyrese Maxey’s 23 points will be without the Sixers for the next few weeks as his injury against the Bucks proved serious.
From the moment he was injured, just before the end of the first half of the Sixers-Bucks game, it was obvious that he was badly injured. Tyrese Maxey is not a pretend kid, his reactions were typical and as it turned out a day later his problem is very serious. The young Philadelphia 76ers guard twisted his ankle quite badly which resulted in the sprain being so severe that he had to stay out for 3-4 weeks.
In the third season of his pro career, Maxi is averaging 22.9 points (49% on 2 points, 42% on 3 points, 74% on shots), 3.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists and one steal per game while James Harden remains sidelined and injured and Tobias Harris leaving Joel Embiid now in need of management for the period to follow. The only thing that needs to be clarified is whether Maxi has broken a bone, according to initial reports he will not need an operation.
