The NBA paid a ridiculous sum for the television rights to the Wembania team’s games
The NBA has secured the TV rights to Victor Webanyama’s team’s games for a very small sum that will not fully end up in the Metropolitan coffers.
Victor Webanyama got the whole NBA talking about him months before he entered the global Premier League. In connection with this, the league decided to buy the television rights to the metropolitan games in order to broadcast them via the renewed NBA app.
As the AFP news agency notes, the rights were sold for a paltry $133,000! As if that were not enough, the sum in question does not flow exclusively into the coffers of the Wembania team, but is divided equally among all teams in the French league at the end of the season.
