Elias Zouros stated that Prometheus will face Panathinaikos OPAP with two important absences in the Final Four on the eve of the crucial game.

Without Jerai Grant and Nikos Gikas, Prometheus will compete in the Greek Cup Final Four, Elias Zouros pointed out. A day before the decisive match against Panathinaikos OPAP, the coach of the Achaean team emphasized:

On behalf of Prometheus I would like to say that we are very happy and satisfied to be in the first Final Four after 18 years. Prometheus has been consistently in the final stages of the tournament for the past three years, which shows there is consistency and it’s working well. The club is healthy. Unfortunately, in this Final Four, in addition to our opponent Panathinaikos OPAP, we also have an invisible opponent, the coronavirus. We also need to get back into the rhythm of such events, as is happening across Europe. We will do everything to bring the best result to the end.

The cup is very special because it’s a game to judge everything. It’s different in the league, the teams play one after the other, the bad games are covered over. In the cup, everything is judged in forty minutes. I would say that Europe is important for all teams. This shows that we are at the highest level. The course of the Greek teams over the years shows the general level“.

When asked about absences due to injury and other reasons, he replied: “oneOn our side we have two players who will not participate, two other players who have contracted coronavirus. Jeraj Grant and Nikos Gikas are absent, the rest are back. We have absences of two players with significant time on our team“.

For his part, o Dimitris Agravanis explained: “We are happy to find ourselves in another final stage, in a celebration for Greek basketball. As the coach said, we’ve had a lot of difficulties these days, but we’re managing to be healthy now. We all have to give 100% for the kids who can’t compete“.
