Panathinaikos is led by Papagiannis
Due to the absence of Ioannis Papapetrou, Panathinaikos reached the Cup’s Final Four with Giorgos Papagiannis holding the title of captain.
THAT George Papagiannis was the one who accompanied Dimitris Priftis at the press conference organized by the EWG for the Greek Cup finalists on Thursday in Heraklion.
The Panathinaikos center sat next to the Greece coach and when it was his turn he spoke to the journalists representing his team-mates. This happened because Ioannis Papapetrou remains inactive as a result of sinus surgery.
The international striker did not travel to Crete with the rest of the Greens’ mission, so Papagiannis will have assumed the duties of leader in the Final Four, which begins in Dyo Aorakia on Friday.
In his humble position, the tall 24-year-old explained: “We are very happy that the Final Four is back. I wish all teams health. To attract the best, thanks for the hospitality in Heraklion“.
