SIDOROV: “Many people around the world are starting to forget that the war is going on”
Defender of “Prometheus” and the national team of Ukraine Ilya Sidorov He thanked the French club Burg for the initiative to raise humanitarian aid for the Ukrainians.
“Many people around the world are starting to forget that the war is going on. For nine and a half months, people have been dying every day in Ukraine. Just yesterday, the Russians fired more than 70 missiles to destroy our energy infrastructure. They are trying to completely obscure our country. You know that the winter in Ukraine is severe, now it is minus 5-7 degrees. People sit without electricity for 16-18 hours. That’s why support and help is so important.
Our enemy is killing free people who just want to live in an independent country, take their children to school, just live, enjoy life. They came to kill us just because we wanted such mundane things. Today is a big day for our country – the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Relatives of my teammates now protect our land – someone has a father, someone has a brother, someone has a best friend. Therefore, I would like to thank you once again for heeding our call to the world to unite our efforts to end this war, and for helping the world hear us.”
