Wonderful moment with Papanikolaou taking a picture with a kid wearing an AEK scarf
Sport – and basketball – as it should be. Olympiakos released a VIDEO of what happened in the semifinals with AEK for the Greek Cup Final Four on and off the floor, where Costas Papanikolaou was noticed taking a picture with a kid wearing a ‘Union’ scarf.
Sport must unite, not divide. And sometimes there are small movements of great importance that can carry that message. Like the one that Costas Papanikolaou managed with AEK for the Final Four of the Greek Cup (76:70 win for the “Red-Whites”) after losing in the semi-finals at Olympiacos.
After the game, the Olympiacos forward went to the dressing room. However, at first he did not refuse to take a picture with two children. The ‘detail’: One of them wore the AEK scarf, something that didn’t matter – and shouldn’t have anyway – with Papanikolaou leading the way.
Watch the VIDEO released by KAE Olympiakos of what happened inside and outside the pits in the game, with the scene with Costas Papanikolaou just before the end of the ceremony:
