Barcelona – Murcia 103-90: The Blaugrana have checked the second ticket to the Copa del Rey final
Barcelona won the second semi-final against the struggling Murcia 103-90 and checked their ticket to the Copa del Rey final where they will face their great rivals Real Madrid.
Barcelona completed their place in the Copa del Rey final, even struggling to win Costas Vassiliadis’ very competitive Murcia 103-90. The Blaugrana meet their big opponent in the final, real Madrid (easily defeated Tenerife) in another Clásico this season.
Murcia were very competitive against the much more complete Barcelona, but Jasikevicius’ players, with their leaders Mirotic and Laprovitola, ended up smiling. Kalathis was the leader in creation for another game as he gave his teammates plenty of chances with 8 assists.
The first ten minutes clearly belonged to Barcelona, who were superior and made a big difference early on with Laprovitolas as the lead. The continuation was not up to par in the second period when Murcia reacted and, with a split score of 23-33, greatly reduced the difference and got back into the game. The game has since been a derby, with Barcelona losing the lead but finding ways to stay even slightly ahead of the score. The typical Blaugrana hosts, on the other hand, put their foot down and celebrated qualifying.
