“Mom, Dad, we did it”: Antetokunbo announced a partnership with WhatsApp in a moving return to 2013

A long-term agreement with WhatsApp was signed by Giannis Antetokounbo a few days ago. The Greek star is the first person to sign a partnership with Meta Platforms’ messaging company to promote the brand globally.

The collaboration between the two sides has been official for a few days and in fact, during the All Star Game 2022 in Cleveland, Antetokumbo found the opportunity to present it with his mother wearing a green t-shirt as well as the WhatsApp logo with the number about + 234

The Greek star himself wanted to announce this agreement with a message on Twitter, with a post referring to the 2013 draft and the message he sent to his parents via WhatsApp to say that he is part of the draft will be.

When writing on Twitter: “My family has always relied on WhatsApp to stay connected around the world. My relationship with WhatsApp is such an important part of who I am. “We talk for hours, share our ups and downs and of course tell a lot of jokes.”

Those who know my story know that I am Greek and Nigerian: I grew up in Greece but my roots are Nigerian. Growing up WhatsApp was the best way to connect with my family in Nigeria.
