Volodymyr DUBINSKY: “The place of the team in Eurocup suits us”

Head of Prometheus Vladimir Dubinsky told how the team settled in Riga.

“For the autumn part of the season, I can give the team four plus points in a five-point system. Of course we have problems. The main problems are related to injuries and preparation. It is a very difficult moment that we have to play in Riga. And this is a lot of organizational issues: housing, transport, food But if we are talking about the sports part, then the place the team took in the Eurocup suits us. Considering the injuries of the players, I think we passed the first part of the Eurocup regular season with dignity.

We have a pretty good management team. Latvian partners, especially the Basketball Federation, helped us a lot. Coming to a new country, a new city, was the hardest thing. No one let us down on the issues we agreed on. The question about the fans remains. We are a new team for Riga and we expect more activities from the Ukrainians currently in Riga. But in terms of organization, we had everything. And we even knew beforehand the fact that we were going to play one of the Eurocup home matches in Lithuania. There was an unalterable coating around the hall. There were some problems with the medical supply. This is a new experience and we need additional information to get it right.”

It should be noted that at the moment Prometheus is in the 4th place in the Eurocup standings.
