Mavps responds to players seeking debt settlement for February 2022
“Cherkasy Mavpy” responded to the appeal of six players from last year’s squad, who asked the club to pay the 23 days of February 2022. Alexander Kolchenko, Max Konate, Sergey Priymak, Igor Sergeyev and Sergey Popov made a collective call to the club.
“We would like to inform you that the players of Cherkasy Mavpy LLC always strictly and fairly fulfill their obligations under their contracts. Our club has definitively closed all debts to players, including January 2022. With this in mind, we are uncomfortable to note that six of our players have filed an appeal in February 2022 regarding the non-payment of three weeks’ salaries.
It would be a lot of fun if it wasn’t so sad to read your letter.
We would like to state that we did not break our contract with any of the players named in the letter! However, they left the team hiding behind the force majeure clause and now have contracts with other clubs, including foreign teams. We often see the latter category as fugitives taking advantage of their sporting status and are ashamed to have crossed paths with them once.
For this, we would like to say that the club’s budget is formed thanks to the receipt of sponsorship funds. Obviously, during the military February, the partners failed to fulfill their obligations. We understand and share that the main efforts of business are aimed at fighting the Russian aggressor. On the other hand, the main task of the clubs today is to be represented in the Ukrainian championship and to protect those who played for our team during the war.
We do not hide and have nothing to be ashamed of! Shame on you!” is reading your message.
We reported earlier that Cherkasy Mavpy has signed a contract with an American legionnaire.
