New Red Star announcement: ‘Urgent request to EuroLeague to suspend decision’
Red Star’s pressure on the EuroLeague is stifling, which lasts until February 28th. to lift the registration ban imposed on new players.
With a new announcement, on Wednesday evening (01/04), Red Star informed the public of the request it had made to the EuroLeague to revoke the decision to allow new players to be registered and therefore use Facundo Cabaso at least until February 28th to disallow . “Red Star informs the public that after the decision of the EuroLeague Committee and after the penalty for the ban on registering new players until 28.2. has filed a motion with CEO Marshall Glickman asking for a suspension of the decision as one of the legal options.
Red Star has met all of its financial obligations under EuroLeague requirements that Mr. Glickman was aware of and publicly admitted to. We are now waiting for a quick decision, while EuroLeague President Dejan Bodiroga is also aware of it. The penalty imposed does not correspond to our offence. The commission had a wide range of punishments, the harshest one was chosen, which does not correspond to reality“.
