Women’s EuroCup: Olympiacos host Bourges in the first game of the ‘8’ stage
Olympiacos return to their European commitments as they host France’s Bourges (23/2, 18:00) in the first game of the “8” phase of the EuroCup Women at SEF.
On Wednesday afternoon (February 23, 6:00 p.m.) the Olympiacos women’s basketball team has an appointment with history, hosting Bourges at SEF in the first game of the “8” phase of the EuroCup women. The game was supposed to take place on January 26, but the red-whites’ coronavirus cases led to its postponement.
Coming off an easy win in the league, Olympiacos will be looking for victory gold against a difficult opponent like the French side (who have suffered just one defeat in the tournament so far). The rematch is scheduled for March 2nd in France.
We remind you that due to the particular behavioral system of Olympiacos is not yet in the quarterfinals of the tournament, but a stage away from it. If the Bourgeois obstacle is overcome, four teams from the EuroLeague groups enter the EuroCup Quarterfinals (the 5th and 6th teams of each group) and together with the four of the tournament form the Quarterfinals teams.
