NBA, Ebid for Simmons: “I tried to bring him back and make him comfortable, I didn’t care”
Joel Ebid spoke to ESPN’s Malika Andrews about the “chase chase” with Ben Simmons, his attempt to make him feel good and James Harden’s arrival in Philadelphia.
Ben Simmons’ relationship with the Sixers and his dealings with the Nets has been a hot topic in the NBA lately. On top of that, but also with the arrival of James Harden in the team, was placed Joel Ebid who he revealed in ESPN’s Malika Andrews, Ben Simmons hunted a lot to stay, but “he wasn’t interested anymore”.
“We spoke 1-2 weeks before the close of trading. He’s a very good player and he’s going to make an offer to the networks. He can take them to the next phase. I’ve been following him for a while, I’ve been trying to bring him back and that he is comfortable.” I didn’t care. He did what I thought was right for him as a teammate.”
Regarding James Harden’s arrival in Philadelphia, Joel Ebid stated: “He’s one of the best goalscorers, but he was also excellent at creation and we expect him to do the same for us. We can achieve something great, our system is already good and James’ arrival will raise our level.”
