EEC sends a file to the Sports Prosecutor’s Office for Kolossos – Ionikos
The Basketball Federation will request an investigation into today’s basketball league match between Kolossos and Ionikos and will send a file to the Sports Registry and the National Platform for Sports Integrity
EEC and its President Vangelis Liolios were immediately activated after today’s match between Kolossos Rhodes and Ionikos which ended with a score of 89-48. They have already informed ESAKE that they will request an investigation into the game and indeed a file will be sent on Monday (16/1) morning for the urgent investigation into the game.
The Basketball Association will file a file with both the Sports Attorney’s Office and the National Platform for Sports Integrity with any evidence deemed odd regarding the game.
The National Sports Integrity Platform (E.ATHLA) derives from Article 13 of the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Games (Macolin Convention) and is the main instrument for its implementation in our country. Its purpose is national coordination of the competent authorities, international cooperation and the creation of a monitoring mechanism to ensure the implementation of the provisions laid down in the Convention.
