A hug and a ribbon got Brook Lopez kicked out
Brook Lopez lost his temper and his sacking against the Raptors was inevitable with the way he behaved.
The Bucks survived an uphill battle against the Raptors thanks to a standout performance from Jrue Holiday, who stepped up and led the rest when margins were very tight.
On the one hand, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton were missing. On the other hand it arose the eviction of Brook Lopez at a critical juncture for the game as with 6’40” to go the difference was three points (113-110).
If the final had turned out differently and the deer had been beaten, the experienced center (19 points on 3/5 threes) would certainly have borne a large part of the responsibility for the result. Because he pushed the boundaries of trash talk and caused an uproar on the ground with his action, leaving his team with one less valuable solution. It was the first time in his career that he didn’t finish a game because of a penalty kick.
It all started when Lopez hugged Gary Trent and they walked on the floor together. After a few steps, Bucks’ angry big man pulled the Raptors’ guard’s headband, causing Anunoby to push him away to defend his teammate.
It was fate for Lopez, who continued to scream and look beside himself, possibly because something had been said about being sent off by the umpires to take an early shower. On the other hand, the away player received a technical penalty for his reaction. Like a member of the Canadian technical team.
