Why Andrew Andrews stays registered in the Basketball League even though he doesn’t count

Dejan Radonic pointed out that Andrew Andrews has essentially left the team, citing the document the 30-year-old security guard is not signing.

Dejan Radonic said a lot of interesting things after the final match against Ionikos on Saturday night, January 28th. The Panathinaikos manager has been questioned almost exclusively on club transfer issues, with Matt Thomas taking center stage – the Greens are looking to sign him in the next few days.

In the midst of all this, of course (after being asked, of course) he referred to Andrew Andrews and stated that he is a player who “He’s been off the team for almost three months now“. That is, from the moment Panathinaikos acquired Dwayne Bacon and the number of foreigners increased to eight. The most interesting thing in this case, of course, was not that, but the footnote that the 30-year-old guard remains – on paper – active in the basketball league because “He didn’t sign the paper to get off the roster“.

What is typical under normal circumstances has in this case turned into an unresolved issue for Panathinaikos and also shows that the glass has finally been broken in the relationship with Andrew Andrews due to the way their collaboration has evolved – the Problem is found in the obvious: the impossibility of compromise to put an end to it.

For this reason, when Dwayne Bacon took over, Marius Grigonis (the injury also occurred at this time). Therefore, the same player remains inactive in Basket League games at the given time.

It’s clear this is an issue of major concern for the Cloverleaf as the plan includes the acquisition of another foreign player (see Matt Thomas). Simply because Panathinaikos will reach nine (9) foreigners with him, two of which (plus one) he will not be able to use in the Basket League and the Final Eight of the OPAP Hellenic Cup.
