Khimki head coach Andrey Maltsev explained why there are no foreign players in the Moscow Region club.
– This is a fundamental position. I think that our Russian players are no worse than legionnaires. And we have to give our guys a chance. We had one Kazakh that year – Sanya Zhigulin. But we did not consider him a legionnaire, he is completely his own, – quotes Maltsev “Championship”.
Khimki are on the 4th line in the Superleague 1 standings. The club won 12 wins in 18 matches.
