Their matches are always great, their rivalry made history so Aris and AEK were sure to put up another great fight on Saturday night (2/4) in Alexandrio. In the end, the home team won (74-64) because they deserved better, in a game of the 15th game of the Basket League in the again full Palace.
Aris rose to 8-7 (6-2 home and 2-5 away) with Homer Netzipoglou doing great work on both sides of the court and Chavez Goodwin destroying his opponents with an impressive double-double. Vassilis Toliopoulos was far from his best but his team worked well and got up in the final minutes thanks to big baskets from Huggins – Mitrou-Long – Note.
AEK fell to 9-6 (5-2 home and 4-4 a) with Ilias Kanzouri’s Tim Frazier losing little and looking to Miles-Mitchell as his most consistent athlete.
