Kudos to the NBA’s Bubba and Rivers for the punches they exchanged
The NBA immediately responded to the unacceptable scene with the punches exchanged between Mo Baba and Austin Rivers, penalizing the former 4 games and the latter 3 games. A tough game for Jalen Suggs.
Mo Bubba and Austin Rivers turned the Wolves Magic game upside down with their punches and will face the consequences. Literally and figuratively.
The NBA announced the penalties for the two players — as well as other players who took immediate action to make the situation worse.
It has been revealed that Baba was penalized with a 4-game suspension and Rivers with a 3-game suspension. Jalen Suggs – who grabbed Rivers by the throat – was suspended for one game, while Jaden McDaniels was fined $20,000. The 5th player of the field (Tyrone Prince) was not penalized.
Of course, since each player’s salary is divided by 82 (the number of games played in the regular season), this means that the three…culprits lose in addition to games and money. That means Bubba will lose $284,138, Rivers $60,121 and Suggs $47,740. Perhaps that will prevent her from doing anything similar in the future.
