Former basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar evaluated Lakers forward LeBron James’s record in NBA history. The 38-year-old American is known for beating Karim’s record held since 1988.

“LeBron’s career is the career of someone who plans to dominate this game. And it’s been going on for 20 years. You have to give him credit for the way he plays, the way he carries himself and the way he dominates. He has this elusive essence called leadership qualities.

I knew my record would be broken. This had to be done by someone who was constantly focused on the attack,” Abdul-Jabbar said.

LeBron James currently has 38,390 points, while Abdul-Jabbar, currently 75, has 38,387 points.
