Yagupova becomes performance leader in EuroBasket 2023 selection
The Ukraine national team finished second in the group in the EuroBasket 2023 qualifiers, with four wins in six matches. However, this was not enough to qualify for the finals of the tournament: Srdjan Radulovic’s team did not have enough goal/miss differential to be one of the second best teams to also reach the Euro.
Individually, however, Ukrainian women rank highly in statistical selection ratings.
The captain of the Ukrainian national team, Alina Yagupova, became the best in terms of the number of points scored in the selection – 153 points in 6 matches, only 33 points ahead of her closest rival, Latvian Anete Steinberga.
According to the average number of points per game, Alina Yagupova took second place with 25.5 points per game.
Alina Yagupova is also first in steals (3.8 steals per game). In this ranking, Tatyana Yurkevichus is in ninth place with 2.5 rebounds per game.
5.5 assists per game allowed Alina Yagupova to enter the top 10 in assists per game.
Olga Maznichenko took fifth place in shooting conversions – her shooting conversion rate in four knockout matches was 60%, which allowed her to average 14.5 points per game.
With 9.7 rebounds per game, Tatyana Yurkevichus took ninth place, entering the top 10 selection for this indicator.
