The preliminary application of the Ukrainian national team for the 2023 World Cup qualifiers has been announced.
The FIBA official website has published the preliminary application for the 2023 World Cup qualifying matches, where the national team of Ukraine will play against Italy and the Netherlands. The following players are on the list:
Bogdan Bliznyuk, Vyacheslav Bobrov, Vladimir Gerun, Vladimir Konev, Artem Kovalev, Alexander Kovlyar, Vyacheslav Kravtsov, Pavel Krutous, Denis Lukashov, Alexander Lipovy, Alexander Mishula, Sergei Pavlov, Vyacheslav Petrov, Artem Pustovoi, Issuf Sanon, Anagor Serge , Dmitry Skapintsev, Ilya Sidorov, Ivan Tkachenko, Ilya Tyrtyshnik, Andrey Voinalovich, Vitaly Zotov.
It should be noted that earlier there was information that the center of Kaoshin Steelers Vyacheslav Kravtsov will not be able to join the national team, since the Taiwan championship did not provide a pause for international matches.
Ainars Bagatskis’ team will play against Italy on February 23 and host the Netherlands in Riga on February 26. In order for the Blue-Yellows to qualify for the World Cup, they must win two and wait for the results of the other matches in the group.
